Use your musical gifts to perform for the residents of StoryPoint Senior Living Center!
With the lockdown of senior living centers, we are currently unable to schedule our traditional concerts at their facilities. This also means that many of their residents are now isolated, having little contact with others. The StoryPoint Concert Project is a way for our students to have a way to connect with the residents of StoryPoint, as well as share their gift of music.
Here is how it works:
Students share their favorite songs. Maximum time limit: 4 minutes per performance. All ages...All levels...All instruments are welcome!
Performances will by recorded at home by each student and submitted by Friday, June 12th to our event coordinator.
(A guide to recording and submitting music will be sent to each participant)
Submissions will premiere on YouTube at the designated times (see below). During the premiere, there will be holding an Online Watch Party for all participating families. After the Watch Party, all performances will available on YouTube, so you can share with grandmas, grandpas, aunts, and uncles. This makes a great Father's Day gift!
We ask that each performer make a personalized "Hello" for the residents of Storypoint. It can be a "card" that they hold up to the screen before performing their music, a short announcement to the residents, or anything else that seems appropriate.
Be creative!
